BOGBAIN FARMHOUSE B&B

The Farmhouse

The Farmhouse - Built 1832

A former coaching inn and important cattle trading point in Victorian times.

The farmhouse was destroyed by a great fire in 1991 and has been rebuilt to modern day standards with full central heating and double-glazing while still retaining its Victorian character. Three letting bedrooms, all with en-suite, TV, and coffee facilities. Situated on top of a hillside only two miles South of the city of Inverness commanding spectacular views of the Moray Firth. The Black Isle and Ross-shire.

Spacious car parking and interesting walks nearby, including Culloden Battle Field, the last battle fought on our British mainland.

The Victorian farm steading contains what is probably one of the biggest private collections of vintage farm equipment in the area.

There are the heavy horses. Cattle. Including Highland cattle. There’s the wild life and the MacGregor family. All are waiting to welcome you to Bogbain Farm.

The family interests involve traditional Scottish Fiddle music that can be heard on www Blazin’ Fiddles and the farmhouse plays host to some musicians and artists of international renown from time to time. Born and breed in the area the MacGregors have a good knowledge of the culture of the area which can be of great help to visitors. While deeply involved in the conservation of the area it remains a strange fact that MacGregors are one of the very few firms in the UK who can extract peat with no conservation conflict.

Hope to see you very soon.

Brian and Ann MacGregor.
